A screenplay written by two South Shore women  has been chosen as a finalist at the Feel Good Film Festival, a festival devoted to movies  that make a positive and uplifting contribution to the world. The festival takes place later this month in Hollywood.

The Canadian Music Café has announced the 15 artists who will be showcased to the film and TV industry at the Hard Rock Café Sept. 9 to 11, during the Toronto International Film Festival.

Allie Hartwick, a 2004 East Aurora High School graduate, will soon see if she has what it takes to “make it big” in the television and film industry. Hartwick, who has found success in the last few years acting and performing in Toronto, will now be tested on the big screen with her upcoming appearance on Canada’s popular game show, “Test the Nation.”
